Ash is a Dhurga/Dharawal man belonging to the La Perouse Aboriginal community in coastal Sydney. Ash is a 2017 Charlie Perkins Scholar, and completed a Master of Business Administration with Distinction at the Saïd Business School and Trinity College, Oxford in 2018.
Ash graduated with a Bachelor Laws and Bachelor Commerce from the University of New South Wales in 2012. His key work experience has been in the corporate sector as a solicitor as Gilbert + Tobin. He also has diverse experience as the founding member and director of the first Australian Indigenous business start-up hub, Bariyu Aboriginal Corporation. Prior to leaiving for the UK, he was acting CEO of the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Council. After completing his MBA, he joined the Boston Consulting Group as a Consultant.
Ash is currently the Investment Manager at Yamanah Investments, a subsidiary of the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC), and is also a Strategic Adviser for the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council.
