Aurora is a Palyku woman from Western Australia. As a 2015 Charlie Perkins Scholar, Aurora, completed a Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik Schook of Government and Jesus College, Oxford in 2016.
Aurora graduated from the University of Western Australia with First Class Honours in both her Bachelor of Arts (History) and Bachelor of Laws. She received a host of prizes during her undergraduate study, including the 2014 Neville Bonner Memorial Scholarship, the 2013 Lillian Harris Prize and the 2012 Lexis Nexis Prize in Law.
Aurora is currently a Manager at the Indigenous Knowledge Institute, University of Melbourne. Prior to this Aurora was an Advisor, First Peoples Programs and Strategy at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) in Melbourne. She has previously worked across multiple sectors including as an Advisor, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation, the University of Western Australia and Wesfarmers.
