Geoffrey Winters
Master of Public Policy
Balliol College, Oxford 2018 Charlie Perkins Scholar 2017 Aurora Study Tour |
I have found my college to be a very important part of my experience, more so than I had expected. The beauty of Balliol is how tightly knit the graduate community is. I have found this to be a huge support, particularly while settling in and adjusting to life in Oxford. The pre-existing relationship that Aurora has with the college has proven to be highly useful, including but not limited to the existing scholars who are also at Balliol. There is a wonderful sense of community that makes even the difficult weeks of study much easier. |
Geoffrey, a Gamilaroi man from Richmond, has completed a Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government and Balliol College, Oxford as a 2018 Charlie Perkins scholar.

I wanted to thank Aurora and the staff for being so supportive and responsive over the past term. I know a lot of people at Oxford who have low to no support from their funding bodies and my experiences could not be more contrasted. It has been a huge help in getting to the finish line.
