The Indigenous Students' Guide to Scholarships in Australia and Overseas 2009/10 Edition

Jointly published by the Aurora Project and the Charlie Perkins Trust for Children & Students, The Indigenous students’ guide to postgraduate scholarships in Australia and overseas includes over 120 postgraduate scholarships across all disciplines, including architecture, business, education, engineering, government, health, humanities, information technology, law and the arts. Most of the scholarships are for Indigenous students only with some open to all Australian students.

The easy-to-use format takes you through the process of choosing from the many prestigious scholarships on offer from application to acceptance.

Along with advice, there are personal stories from Indigenous postgraduates about what postgraduate study has meant to them professionally and personally.

Here is a list of additional scholarships:

• Indigenous Australian Graduate Scholarship to study at ANU – one per year for all disciplines at the annual Australian Postgraduate Award Rate plus extras.
• The Elspeth Young Memorial Grant to study at ANU - provides financial support to Indigenous Australian undergraduate and graduate students at the Australian National University.
• MCA-UQ Graduate Certificate in Community Relations - The Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) have partnered with the University of Queensland (UQ) to develop a postgraduate program in Community Relations for the resources sector.
• Jane Freemantle Fellowship - CURRENTLY CLOSED. The Jane Freemantle Fellowship provides full board and accommodation at Ormond College, University of Melbourne, for up to three months whilst a postgraduate student is completing her/his doctoral thesis.
