My time at Cambridge certainly allowed me to broaden my scope of understanding of policy issues and topics and the theory behind good public policy practice. The MPP gave me the tools to analyse any policy topic required in a pragmatic way to come up with potential policy solutions, it taught me that it is ok to fail but you should fail fast and pivot, that there is now a network of people around the world that I could talk issues through with, to look beyond Australia and New Zealand for solutions to policy issues and on my first day in that classroom I learnt the most valuable lesson of all - that I belonged there just like everyone else in that room - that I was good enough and smart enough - and that I no longer felt like an imposter! |
